Maybe she hasn’t scored anything yet (except huge brownie points with me and dad for learning something new!), but our little Zoe can sit, all by herself. And maybe it doesn’t last for long – YET! – but she’s on the right track. As you can hear on the video, Dad’s quite a proud papa. And yes, she was toppling over at the end, but no small children (or big children) were harmed in the making of this film. ;)
Though she’s moved on to sitting, she’s still working on her last developmental milestone: the roll. I think she just hasn’t seen the upside of rolling over yet, or been THAT interested in something barely out of reach. But she loves to stand (with help) and is super cute when she pokes out her chest proudly the second she’s achieved the upright position. Maybe she’ll skip that rolling and crawling thing and head straight to toddling. Scary.
In the meantime, we’ll take the milestones as they come. She’s so engaged in everything around her, we’re pretty sure she’ll soon be sitting up all the time and so on and so on. It’s really amazing to watch – and pretty cool to video, too! Hope you enjoy watching our little girl grow as much as we’re enjoying it.
Wow and what fun. Watch out for the throw-yourself-backwards trick that comes next!
Oh no, really?! That won’t be much fun on our hardwood floors – guess I should add a couple of layers to her sitting area ;) Thanks for the heads-up!
